Steer Smarts Return Policy

Steer Smarts is dedicated to making the return procedure as simple as possible. We strive to provide industry leading steering components and accessories. We too are enthusiasts and understand life happens and/or people change their minds. Below you will find our return policy and guidelines. Please take a minute to review this procedure, should you have any additional questions please contact a representative.

If for whatever reason you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you may return all products within 14 days of delivery of the order. The following rules will be applied and these conditions are subject to change at the discretion of Steer Smarts.

  • Products must be in original packaging and in a new and resalable condition.
  • A 15% Restocking fee will be applied to eligible returns.
  • Any product that was used or fully/partially installed is non-returnable.
  • Shipping Fees are non-refundable.
  • All returns must be made via our Return Procedure by filling out an RMA form.
  • Order cancellations can only be requested prior to shipment.
  • If you received an order and it has a manufacturer defect, we will supply a return label and issue a replacement part.
  • Parts purchased second hand new or used are not eligible for retur
  • Returns from Non-Authorized Dealers will not be accepted in any fashion.

Return Procedure

To return a product(s), an RMA form must be filled out. The RMA form can be found [HERE]. RMA’s will also include information on where to return items and further detailed instructions. Completed forms will need to be emailed to info@steersmarts.com. Once a Steer Smarts representative reviews the form, we will reply with your return authorization number. Packages returned without an RMA number will not be refunded. Please allow 24 to 72 hours [Business Days] for processing.

Damaged, Manufacture Defects, and incorrect parts

Steer Smarts is still considered a small business. This means our employees are people just like you and me. Our employees work hard every day, but sometimes make mistakes happen. On occasion you may receive a mispackaged product, a defective part, or a box that didn’t do its job during its travels with a carrier.

Products resulting in damage from shipping will be subject to a claim filed to the shipping company. It is VERY important to note, if a product is delivered and there is visible damage, this liability will fall on the customer. Please, do NOT sign for packages that appear to have been miscarried by the shipper. If for whatever reason a product appears to be damaged inside the box and there is no external visible damage, please contact Steer Smarts immediately. After the 14-day period has lapsed products will be assumed to have been inspected and in received damage free.

Products received that are incorrect are the responsibility of Steer Smarts. In such instances, Steer Smarts will issue a return label for any incorrect part shipped or defective parts to be returned.

Steer Smarts 3rd Party and Authorized Dealer Network

When ordering from an authorized Steer Smarts retailer that fulfills and ships their own inventory (third party seller), your return is required to be sent back to the original seller. While most sellers offer return policies equivalent to Steer Smarts, some seller returns policies may vary. It is the responsibility of the customer to view and understand the return policy of the seller before purchasing an item

Third-party sellers must either provide a return address within the United States, provide a prepaid return label, or offer a full refund without requesting the item be returned. If a seller does not offer these methods to return your items, you may file a complaint against the retailer with Steer Smarts to help facilitate with the return procedure.

If you are sending the item within the United States and the order is valued at $100 or more, insure the shipment for the value of the merchandise. Items valued over $35 must be returned to the seller with a trackable shipping service. For items below $35, we suggest USPS delivery confirmation service. If a package doesn't arrive and you don't use a trackable method to return or if you refuse the shipment as a method of return, we may not be able to cover your return.

Order Cancellations

Cancellation requests may take up to 72 hours to process. This process is not as simple as hitting the stop button. Often times orders have to be pulled from the shipping dock and then re-inventoried. Please note that machines do not do this and the requested time above is to ensure complete customer satisfaction and accuracy.

Refunds and Credits

Upon the acceptance of your return, a refund will be issued via the same method of payment that was originally used. The refund amount will be composed of the original purchase minus the shipping charges and restocking fee. Email confirmation will be sent to the original email attached with the purchase in regards to credits and refunds. Please allow up to 7 business days for refunds to appear on your statement. Not all banks and credit unions process at the same pace.  Please address all returns to the following address -
