I have to admit I was skeptical but after the lift and 37's I was not looking forward to visiting my family 960 miles away because of how it wandered, not bad but not comfortable for a long tired drive. Today was my first 70mph long trip multiple surfaces and its just like stock, so impressed and I have the steel power steering pump, I understand the aluminum one is even worst. I absolutely recommend this product and no I am not payed just very impresse.
The Yeti tie rod & stabilizer relocation are the best you can get. Don't waste your money on OE or other aftermarket parts that don't even come close to the Steersmarts quality & strength. There's nothing else as well engineered. Most likely the last tie rod you'll buy for your JK!
I needed to update my initial review of this bracket to advise that there are serious clearance issues I am running into installing this on my 2011 Sahara JKU with a 2” Mopar Lift Dana 35 stock front axle. The bracket is very heavy duty and well made, all the mounting holes line up but the bracket runs into the spring and hit the axle on articulation, so unfortunately it won’t work properly on my Jeep. The bracket is an excellent idea, but be forewarned that it can cause clearance issues.
If you did nothing else other than install this system, you'd still notice the improvement in steering feel & stability. Definitely a well built product (but then who would expect anything less?).
The anemic factory rear track bar looks more like a placeholder than an actual component. The Steersmarts unit provides the beef & confidence to hit the trails hard!
I have the steel steering box upgrade on my JL Rubicon. The steering was still sloppy. This brace made a significant improvement. The steering feels much tighter. I highly recommend.
Placed my order during a holiday. So it took a few days to get it. They answered all my questions in a timely manner by text. Once it shipped, it was at my house in two days. Installed the sector shaft brace on my 23 jlu . Initially the the steering seems tighter. The wandering left or right when hitting potholes or uneven spots in the road. Seems to be close to totally gone. I haven't been on the interstate yet or driven it a bunch . Long story short, i will put this product on every jeep I own . For the steering improvement and let's not forget. How beefy the bracket is compared to the factory installed bracket. That's a win by its self.
This front JK Track Bar Bracket is massive. There is absolutely no doubt it is strong and well built. If everything lines up and fits as designed I would say it’s a home run. I will update this review if I run into any issues but right now, it is a 5 star!
The original bushing lasted 20k miles, and this bushing lasted 30k miles. Not a fun job to have to do every year. And now that I need ANOTHER new one they’re on 6 month back order. What the heck guys
Any honest Jeep owner will admit that a Jeep handles like a balloon on the highway. Steering it at speed is a full time job...it sucks.
Add a Steer smarts bracket and you have a different, responsive well mannered vehicle. I doo not know why the factory does not do this! it should be mandatory!
I love my front track bar
So now as I upgrade the rear of course I am going with my yeti
I was one of the first to receive and install the Griffin. Been on my JK for 7-8 years and going strong. Together with my RK lift springs , Fox shocks.. I prefer the ride/steering feel in my jeep over my car
love it SUPER COMFY love it one of my favorite shirts!!!!
Heavy-duty quality parts. All the steering components on my Jeep are Steer Smarts and they are great. Ordered this upgrade for my tie rod on a Thursday night, call the next morning, and talked to Chris and he had the part ready for pick up in an hour. Love the decal too.
Warning for those with RHD vehicles. I Bought the works for my JLU Rubicon (front and rear track bars, tie rod, drag link and stabilizer relocation). On fitment discovered that the front track bar hits on the diff even just sitting stationary. Assuming that my RHD requires different clearances for fitment. Everything else had no issue with clearance.
