Yes, without a doubt, it is way better than the Synergy brace. I swapped that for this streersmarts, and I am very glad I did. you notice the difference in built quality and functionality. If you are on the fence, just get this one, you won’t regret.
Very busy just like the front one I put on last year haven't installed yet but I'm sure I'll be happy with it
They provide a great service. Also, the item is super great design. I will buy more. I hope you can ship items to Canada easily. Thank you so much!
I had a JLU that was totaled and bought a Gladiator. With the JLU, I had the steel steering box from Jeep put in, had even adjusted the gear tolerances in the steering box, adjusted pressures, and still steering felt poor. At the time, I wasn't aware of the YETI XD™ JL/JT SECTOR SHAFT BRACE WITH FRAME SIDE TRACK BAR REINFORCEMENT BRACKET and don't think they had it out at the time so I installed a competitor's. Stock and lifted prior to adding a brace, my JLU never felt sure-footed on the road and steering was sloppy. I had personally put the lift and competing product on the JLU and realized that this time around for the Gladiator, my carpel tunnel has reached the point where it would put me out of the use of my hands for a week or more if I did another lift install--so I scheduled an installer to fit me in where they are weeks out. The sector shaft brace on my JLU had provided superior steering feel and rigidity and prepared me for heavier duty components down the line. While the product was flawed, it served a worthwhile purpose.
I forgot all about this component until it hit me a couple of days ago that I wanted another, and didn't want to put it on (easy to do, again, just my hands are the issue). I had followed threads and the YETI seemed to be a better and improved product when compared to what I had bought before. At the last moment, remembering that I wanted another brace and reinforcement bracket, I ordered the YETI hoping to get it prior to my lift install appointment. It's my fault that I didn't think of ordering until the last moment, but really wanted to see if I could get it installed at the time they do my lift. I communicated with SteerSmarts and they went above and beyond to make sure I received the product in a short time frame. It is so much appreciated.
Now that I've opened the box I can tell the YETI is a superior product, doesn't require the out of the box tweaking and adjustments of the competitor's product, and looks like it could be a factory component. It's beefy! To say I'm happy is an understatement.
To those wondering if these really help with steering and tracking, you get mixed responses online. My experience has been, for what it's worth, that this is one of many components that can help you reinforce and tighten up steering, provides additional rigidity as you go bigger on other components, and is a worthwhile purchase to me (stock or lifted). But if you think this, or any product by itself, is going to get you 100% there on its own, that is an unrealistic expectation. To me, however, the cost is well worth the improvement it provides! At some point when the cash starts to flow again, I plan to buy other SteerSmarts components. Seems like they know how to take a vehicle with steering flawed by the complexities of a solid axle, and bring it back to something you'd expect on any modern-day non solid-axle vehicle!
So I ordered the tie rod boot and it was 5 days late from the day it was suppose to arrive and I wasnt happy until I contacted customer service and they did not hesitate to take care of me and that's more important than anything to me. Great job Steer Smarts.
So, it was determined that I made a mistake in tightening the joint down. But, with the new replacement, found that the end of the boot was going to be trapped between the pivot and the red washer again. I determined that the boot has to be located above or around the actual pivot. I move the boot up and around the pivot and secured it in place. No where are there instructions to go this.
Haven't received it yet but I have high hopes......
I have a 2018 JL Rubicon on 37’s that kinda wondered over the road but not to bad. After installing this brace and hearing all the great things about it I was excited to go for a drive. My Jeep still feels almost the same as before the install. I can tell some difference but not almost $300 worth.
Used on a 2016 Ram AEV Prospector XL to un-do the horrible welded coupler TSB which left my steering wheel off-center. Stronger. Better. Faster. What’s not to like?!
Just received an incredibly well engendered and beefy product from SteerSmarts. I had not intended to replace the item at this time, but after experiencing atrocious steering problems on my gladiator I purchased the sector reinforcement bracket in hopes of improvement. The results were amazing. Steering fixed. There was however a problem. The bracket bearing housing contacted the stock track bar under suspension compression. That seemed dangerous to me. After contacting SteerSmarts Andy ran it by engendering and they decided to change the housing design and send me a remanufactured one. Andy also suggested that their yeti track bar would increase the clearance as well. Problem solved.
I have nothing but praise and admiration for incredible and prompt customer service. They were courteous and very willing to help me solve my issues. I can’t thank you guys enough.
I was using another manufacture’s axle-side stabilizer bracket, and it caused my damper to sit at a funny angle. This ultimately led to a failure on the tie rod bracket, and that having to be replaced. After a nice conversation with Andy I was ready to go with two new brackets that I was able to pick-up the next day. Not only did the bracket fix my dampers funny angle, but in brining the damper down some I have cured the bit of bump steer I had as well.
This bracket is super high quality. I broke the bolt that secures the damper to the bracket while off-roading pretty hard and sent photos to Andy with Customer Service. I was taken care of that same day, and had a new tie rod bracket to replace my broken one AND a new axle-side bracket to replace another manufacturer’s that had my steering stabilizer at a funny angle, causing the original bracket’s failure.
Steer Smarts is TOP TIER quality and customer service. Highly recommend all of their products.
Always a pleasant experience with you and your products. Premium parts are costly, but these parts will last the life of your Jeep. Thank you for your innovative and amazing products.
My JT Rubicon was already a little loose on steering. Then I lifted it 3.5” and it was all over the place. It was so unpleasant to drive. I was going to buy the synergy brace but someone stopped me and recommended the Steer Smarts because he has had experience with both. He said the Steer Smarts has been maintenance free and the synergy has been nothing but issues for him. I went with the Steer Smarts and I cannot believe how much better the steering is. It blows my mind how much improved the ride is. I love driving my truck now.
Shipping was fast and easy install. Another great product.
