FORD BRONCO GETS A SMARTER AND BEEFIER STEERING OPTION
Steer Smarts has the BEEF and will soon be offering Yeti XD™ Components for Ford Bronco Enthusiasts
PLYMOUTH, MI, NOVEMBER 1, 2022 - As Bronco owners continue to push the limits of the stock components with upgrades like larger wheels and tires, the OEM pieces are beginning to show their weak points and are failing. One of the first places to show a need for upgrades was in the Bronco’s steering system. In response to the need for more durable, longer-lasting, and heavier duty steering components, Steer Smarts has engineered and designed the Yeti XD™ Tie Rod Ends and Yeti XD™ Rear Adjustable Track Bar. These products will be all forged steel and made in the USA. Tie rod ends will be e-coated and powder coated for maximum corrosion resistance. The internals will be steel on steel bearings with an oversized ball stud. They will be held in place with a proprietary jam nut that is designed to lock the tie rod in place but also reinforce the OEM inner to keep it from bending. The rear track bar will have a bronco specific rubber bushing and will have the same e-coat and powder coat as the tie rod ends. With right- and left-hand threads, the track bar will be adjustable on vehicle so that you can center the rear axle. In addition to the above, the adjustable track bar is also designed to clear the differential housing on larger upgrade axles like the Dana UD60. These products are slated for release Early summer 2023.
Steer Smarts has been making high-quality USA Made parts for the automotive aftermarket since 2015 but is backed by an over 100-year legacy of designing and manufacturing components for Detroit’s automotive giants. Jay Velthoven, General Manager for Steer Smarts says, “We’re really excited to begin branching out into some of the other off-road markets, like Ford Bronco! We have worked tirelessly to build a highly respected brand in the Jeep Wrangler market and are looking forward to doing the same with Ford Bronco.” Speaking more on this, Jay said, “We won’t be turning our backs on the Jeep market – it will always be at our core, but we see an opportunity to help support other platforms that can benefit from our products and we want to make sure they have the same opportunities as our faithful Jeep enthusiasts.”
