I would have gave five stars, but mine had rust on the inside, and longer threaded portion threads. I cleaned up best I could with brake cleaner, and a brass tooth brush style brush, careful to keep cleaner off rubber bushing.
I will update this review after some drive time. If it works as well as others claim, I may upgrade to 5 stars despite the internal rusting.
I put it on my 2012 JK Sahara, with factory 18” wheels and tires, and no lift. Added new MOOG drag link both ends. My JK has about 78,000 miles on it. I put TeraFlex monster HD track bar, and will replace tie rod soon as well.
As for squirrely steering, it had developed some at freeway speeds. I put a TF FALCON 2.2 Nexus adjustable steering stabilizer on it and that really tightened up the steering. The factory steering stabilizer had become too soft, worn out. IMHO, they didn’t do much to help when new. This Attenuators should help with bump steer, and harsh steering wheel feedback over speed bumps and such.
I’m hoping it will last for many years and reduce drag link bushing wear and tear. I’m a believer in upgrading from factory Jeep parts when replacing.
Steer Smarts doesn’t mention if the GRIFFIN is rebuildable? Rare Parts has an attenuators that is cheaper, but I went with the original GRIFFIN, it’s YETI approved don’t you know! LOL
