Griffin Attenuator

2013 JKU Sport. I guess the first thing I noticed is that I didn’t notice anything. My Jeep steering wheel felt stable and smooth. Like a car. Gone are the jitters and harshness of the feedback at the wheel. On my 30 mile drive to work I did notice some smoothing of the road also. Steer Smart Yeti products are the best quality. Made in USA. Thanks

Looks good, time will tell how it holds up.

I would have gave five stars, but mine had rust on the inside, and longer threaded portion threads. I cleaned up best I could with brake cleaner, and a brass tooth brush style brush, careful to keep cleaner off rubber bushing.
I will update this review after some drive time. If it works as well as others claim, I may upgrade to 5 stars despite the internal rusting.
I put it on my 2012 JK Sahara, with factory 18” wheels and tires, and no lift. Added new MOOG drag link both ends. My JK has about 78,000 miles on it. I put TeraFlex monster HD track bar, and will replace tie rod soon as well.
As for squirrely steering, it had developed some at freeway speeds. I put a TF FALCON 2.2 Nexus adjustable steering stabilizer on it and that really tightened up the steering. The factory steering stabilizer had become too soft, worn out. IMHO, they didn’t do much to help when new. This Attenuators should help with bump steer, and harsh steering wheel feedback over speed bumps and such.
I’m hoping it will last for many years and reduce drag link bushing wear and tear. I’m a believer in upgrading from factory Jeep parts when replacing.
Steer Smarts doesn’t mention if the GRIFFIN is rebuildable? Rare Parts has an attenuators that is cheaper, but I went with the original GRIFFIN, it’s YETI approved don’t you know! LOL

Beyond expectations

The Griffin blew my mind!! It really exceeded all of my expectations! I can’t get over how much better my JK drives now!

Amazing! Can't believe the difference!

So we just installed these on three different JK projects recently. One JK two that had over 100K miles, and two other JK's both with less than 20K miles and obviously not having any type of bad steering issues at all. BUT, WOW what a difference the GRIFFIN HD STEERING ATTENUATOR really made! One was on my personal JK and I am really impressed. We really weren't expecting this big of a difference but the steering bumps or road feed back that it smooths out, is quite impressive! Two thumbs up Steer Smarts! Thanks!
