YETI XD™ (30mm) Replacement Boot Seal (Tie-Rod and Drag Link)
Replacement YETI XD™ Boot Seal (30mm)
Compatible with Tie-Rod and XD Drag Link.
Part # 53036002
Exactly what I needed and was shipped very fast. Thanks to Andy he is always a great person to deal with. I used a ball joint press kit to install and it was a breeze.
as i need to replace the yeti tie rod boot for my jeep 2018 because it is worn out, installing of this is really pain in the ass, all though instruction is pretty straight forward however the tool plastic that they provided does not work for me, I search on youtube from others that try to install it and they have diy tools that works great and installed it within 15mins.
Job will be simple if you have the right tool.
The plastic cup didn't work which was sent with the boot for install. Just crushed under pressure, however I used my ball joint tool and the boot went right on. Just don't be stupid with the torque.
So I ordered the tie rod boot and it was 5 days late from the day it was suppose to arrive and I wasnt happy until I contacted customer service and they did not hesitate to take care of me and that's more important than anything to me. Great job Steer Smarts.
So, it was determined that I made a mistake in tightening the joint down. But, with the new replacement, found that the end of the boot was going to be trapped between the pivot and the red washer again. I determined that the boot has to be located above or around the actual pivot. I move the boot up and around the pivot and secured it in place. No where are there instructions to go this.
