So far so good

if you are a true crawler / wheeler SteerSmart is the way to go. I've had other brands and all failed for one reason or another. SteerSmart for three years no issues. A new bushing for the track was eminent with the abuse of crawling. this new bushing should be part of the bar instead of the rubber one.

Poly Bushings

Relatively easy install with a hydronic press, shouldn’t be much fun without one. So far so good, I only have a couple hundred miles on them. Steer Smarts customer service was awesome as always, had them ready for pick-up the next day.

BEWARE

The original bushing lasted 20k miles, and this bushing lasted 30k miles. Not a fun job to have to do every year. And now that I need ANOTHER new one they’re on 6 month back order. What the heck guys

replacement bushings should be the original

Original bushings lasted 20K miles then went into death wobble. There are soft rubber thats no good for a track bar. Replacement bushings are harder urethane, It should be better... Also When I sent an Email about a warranty on the original equipment after only getting 20k miles out it....... I got no response ...When I first installed this bar I liked it. Its beefy ,adjusted good ,Looked good. But only getting 20k miles and poor service n my buddy's have told me similar situations with this product on there Jeeps.... Poor service is a deal breaker for me...

You wrote on Sunday night, 9/11, at 831pm and we replied to you at 937am Monday 9/12. Please explain how this is poor customer service? We explained that you purchased the standard rubber bushing and that this bushing will have some movement visible when turning the steering side to side while static, as that is when the greatest forces are present with the steering system. When you start driving the rolling resistance changes drastically and the movement that would be seen while driving would be much less. The rubber bushing is used to absorb the impacts from road aberrations to help limit the harshness felt inside the vehicle. We do offer the track bar with this polyurethane bushing upgrade kit and it's called the Pro Series track bar. You sent us nothing in the way of video for us to review so that we could see what sort of movement you were experiencing and claimed that the bushings had failed. There are a number of setup things that can cause death wobble and we have no way to verify your claims that your death wobble was caused by the rubber bushing because there was no supporting information (video) provided. Again, saying you got no response from us and we have poor customer service is completely unfounded -- we even offered you a discount on upgrading to the poly bushings if you wanted to go that route. I would suggest you check your spam filter - look for an email from cdoyle@steersmarts.com

Better Than Original Bushings

These are harder durometer material so there’s less wiggle in the bushings. Had to install these to get rid of wobble because there was too much play in the original bushings. Not sure why these wouldn’t be included with the track bar in the first place.
I would give 4-stars except for the difficulty pressing the poly bushing in is almost impossible because the bushing swells as you apply pressure which works against you. I finally machined a mandrel with a pin to capture the ID and keep the bushing straight. Even then, I had to use a flat head screw driver and a hammer to smack the rim on the off side once one side started crooked.
